Imagine someone who, in spite of having lost their mobility, can now resume travelling, exploring new landscapes or reliving fond memories from their past.

These things could be possible with your help. This year, we want to fund an innovative project – virtual reality (VR) headsets – for individuals living in transitional accommodations.
These men and women, often without any close family, live in an environment where opportunities to get out and socialize are rare. There are times when solitude and loneliness weigh heavily on their days.
For these individuals, virtual experiences would not be simple entertainment; they would represent a true breath of fresh air, an opportunity to feel wonder and joy once again.
Thank you for contributing to the well-being of these men and women.
Along with these activities, Fondation Santé funds some 30 projects that make a real difference in the lives of our region’s inhabitants, from birth to end of life. Each project, be it large or small in scope, is chosen with care

Hôpital du Haut-Richelieu Emergency Department
3,000 Béké-Bobo bears to comfort little ones!

Since 2023, babies and children from the ages of 6 months to 10 years who need to go to Hôpital du Haut-Richelieu emergency department have been gifted a comforting Béké-Bobo therapeutic bear. This “magical” bear relieves aches, pains and anxiety in the stressful hospital environment. This year, the ER will receive a shipment of 3,000 new bears to help ease the emergency experience for youngsters.
Along with providing comfort, the therapeutic bears can be heated or cooled to rapidly soothe earaches, headaches, migraines, teething pains and stomach aches.
“The bears make a huge difference and greatly simplify our work,” said Nathalie Champagne, ER nurse at Hôpital du Haut-Richelieu. “They make it easier for us to deal with very young patients and the parents appreciate it, too.”
