Making Magic, One Light at a Time!
Fondation Santé Haut-Richelieu-Rouville is officially launching the holiday season with the opening of its “Winter Lights” campaign, presented by Desjardins in cooperation with Groupe Gamache.
Back for its fourth year, this fundraising initiative encourages one and all to create magic by lighting the Fondation’s holiday evergreen in front of Hôpital du Haut-Richelieu. Until December 31, you can help support healthcare projects by purchasing a symbolic light, priced at $5 each and available at lumieresdhiver.com.
“It has become a tradition for us to create this touch of magic that sparks hope for patients and healthcare professionals alike,” said Julie Coupal, general manager of Fondation Santé. “We are grateful to all those who respond to the appeal of this campaign.”
2024 Target: 15,000 Lights!
This year’s campaign goal is to light up the 15,000 bulbs on the holiday tree to create a cozy and magical effect. “These lights will warm the hearts of care staff, patients and their families, and bring a ray of hope and comfort to people at a difficult time,” said Yves Bisson, general manager, Caisse du Haut-Richelieu and a director on the Fondation Santé board. “Each twinkling light will be a symbol of goodwill that will touch the entire community.”
Magic at the CHSLDs
The holiday magic will also accompany the daily lives of residents and staff at the six CHSLDs in our region and the Maison des aînés de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, thanks to the generosity of our Unis pour nos aînés partners Jean Coutu Yanick Marchand and Bérard Tremblay Arpenteurs Géomètres. Local businesses will be helping to install the decorations as part of their corporate volunteering programs.
A show of solidarity
By purchasing lights, you are supporting the humanization of healthcare services for residents of the long-term care homes for seniors (CHSLD) through such activities as music therapy, zootherapy and creativity workshops. Some of the funds raised will also serve to purchase an open-plan mobile unit to support mental health issues for the region’s youths aged 12 to 25. And another portion will be invested in the Centre de mieux-être en cancérologie to provide cancer patients and their loved ones with services focused on their well-being.
Help us make magic one light at a time! Fondation Santé warmly invites the community to take part in this fundraising campaign with the symbolic purchase of lights for $5, twinkling bulbs for $25 or a set of 100 lights, for which donors can share their generosity on the foundation’s social networks. Brightening spirits
When you switch on a light for a loved one, you also light up the Christmas tree in front of Hôpital du Haut-Richelieu, bringing cheer and comfort to patients and healthcare staff during the dark winter months.
The community is encouraged to symbolically purchase regular Christmas lights for $5, twinkling lights for $25, or a set of 100 lights that will allow the donor’s generosity to shine brightly on the foundation’s social network accounts.
Whether from a spirit of solidarity, generosity or kindness, give the gift of lights to brighten up the daily lives of your loved ones.
Shine the light on health
A donation for our fellow citizens, from the youngest to the eldest
By lighting up the Fondation Santé Christmas tree, donors are helping to humanize care and enhance the well-being of residents at the region’s six CHSLDs through activities such as music therapy, zootherapy and various workshops. Funds raised are also used to support an art therapy project for troubled youths in our community. This new program aims to help young people better identify and express their thoughts and emotions through different kinds of artistic creation.
